Still Alice was a very interesting film that I feel awkward saying I liked.
- Was it a good film?

The Theory of Everything Review

Preface

I had heard about how fantastic this film was, and how out-of-control the performances were, so I was pretty intrigued.
- Stephen Hawking movie, sounds good!
Going in, you guys should know though: I’m not a huge biopic person though, for a few reasons. (Unless it’s The Social Network)
- 1, I feel like far too often they tell slices of the person’s story, assuming you already know enough and just want to see it as a movie.
  - That’s why I wasn’t a huge fan of Lincoln.
- 2, Paralleling the other, it tells you too much and turns into a script-biography of the person’s life.
Luckily, this film was able to balance the two out nicely and be a very good movie experience.

Exodus: Gods and Kings has been generating a lot of negative buzz from critics, a lot of it from the ethnicity of its stars.
- I’m not going to deal with the latter of those issues in this review, but I do disagree with the first part because I enjoyed this film.

Preface

Nightcrawler came out on Halloween Day (yeah, this review is a little late…) and it was a perfect release for that time.
- It crisply captures a creepy feel, and mixes with an urban, shady tone.
  - And I love movies like that.

*Also, I included that trailer because it didn’t give away too much, unlike the other ones!

This is a film I had heard IMMENSE praise for, and couldn’t wait to check out.
My local movie theater finally got it, then my local movie theater finally got it at a showtime that wasn’t 10:30 at night, so let’s talk some Birdman!
