Hey all! As another month draws to a close (and another month where I’ve greatly procrastinated posting stuff…), I figured this would be a great opportunity to share with you what I’ve been up to. Weirdly enough, I’ve been staying very up to date with TV which is not something I can usually say. However, there’s been 3 shows in particular that I’ve watched week to week and have really been enjoying. Here they are (save all pointed remarks for the end please!) and let me know what you’ve been watching in the comments section down below!
Monthly Trailer Roundup: February 2019
Hey guys! Being that my number of posts until the end of the school year is a bit *cough* minimal, I figured I’d keep an eye on all of the trailers from this month that really wowed me and make one concise post about them at the end of the month. Instead of individual reactions, now you can just watch them all in succession (I wish I could’ve the first time I saw each…).
I loved more trailers this month than just these three, but for whatever reason, these three just particularly stood out to me. Enjoy!
Top 5 Favorite Alfred Hitchcock Movies
Hey All! So last semester I had the privilege of taking a class at USC entirely focused upon the directorial style of one Alfred Hitchcock. Heard of him? Me neither.
OBVIOUSLY I’m kidding, Hitchcock is one of the best directors EVER and dazzled audiences over his entirely career. Since I saw almost thirty of his films during my class, I thought this would be an excellent opportunity for me to count down to my Top 5 Favorites!
2019 My Movie Thoughts Awards!
Once again friends, it is time for the My Movie Thoughts Awards!! These are my picks for the best of 2018 in certain categories that go more in depth than just my best movies of the year list and best scenes of the year list. Enjoy all!
Top 36 Movie Scenes of 2018
Hey all! Every year, I always enjoy discussing my favorite movies of the year and I always enjoy following up with my favorite parts of movies. Even though I limit my favorite movies of the year list to just ten, I went through the entire list of the movies I saw in 2018 and identified the particular scenes I LOVED even if I thought the movies were just okay or even underwhelming.
Which brings me to one small disclaimer: these are not necessarily from the best movies of the year (although, looking over it, essentially all of these were in my Top 30 of the year), but they are the best scenes of the year. In that, they executed EXACTLY what I imagine the director entailed in production in making me feel a specific feeling in the best way it possibly could’ve happened, whether that emotion be laughing, crying, mourning, or celebrating.
So without further ado, here are my picks for the Top 36 Best Movie Scenes of 2018! (last year it was 25, this year there were far too many to cut…) (and these are in no particular order, they’re all great for different reasons, too many to number……..)
