Spectre Review

Preface

  • So Spectre is the newest James Bond, 007 (that felt repetitive) adventure following hot off the heels of Skyfall.
  • I’m not a huge Bond nerd, I’ve seen a couple Connery movies, maybe one Brosnan movie, and Skyfall.
  • And I LOVED Skyfall. I saw it twice in the theater that movie was so good…
  • And Spectre was pretty decent. Not as good as Skyfall by a long shot, but decent.

Goosebumps Review

Goosebumps Review

Preface

  • So this review is a couple days late, but seeing as I did see Goosebumps on Halloween.
  • But seeing as this is the only late post I’ve done this year, I’d say I have a pretty good track record…

Premise

  • So Goosebumps is a movie based on the Goosebumps books and TV show from the ‘90s and early 2000s.
  • And in this movie, there’s this kid who looks EXACTLY like one of my friends.
  • And this kid who looks EXACTLY like one of my friends moves to a new town and he ‘befriends’ the girl who lives next door. And there’s kind of a relationship thing going on…
  • The only problem is that the girl’s dad is R.L. Stine, the writer of the Goosebumps books and the monsters from his books start accidentally getting out…
  • And now we have our movie!
  • Our surprisingly entertaining movie…?

Steve Jobs Review

Preface

  • Now guys, I was very disappointed in this movie for one reason.
  • I was the only one in the theater seeing it this morning, which is just illogical.
  • Because this is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my life, and one of the most important movies of this century so far.

Trilogy Time: Back to the Future

Preface

  • Hello everybody!
  • Today is awesome for 2 reasons:
    • Reason 1: I get to talk about three of my favorite movies.
    • Reason 2: It’s Back to the Future Day!
  • Back to the Future Day, as I’m calling it, is October 21st 2015, the day on which Marty McFly arrived in 2015 in Back to the Future Part 2.
    • My local theater is playing all three back-to-back-to-back tonight and I’m looking forward to seeing that!
  • In honor of Back to the Future Day, instead of reviewing Back to the Future Part 2, or the original, or trying to review both, I thought it would be cooler if I did a mini-review for each in the trilogy.
  • That way, I can talk about what makes each one work, talk about each one’s cultural significance, and not feel like it’s too short or vague of a post!
  • So without any further ado, let’s get started with one of the Best Movie Trilogies Ever Made!
