Hello dear readers of mine! It’s bee quite some time since I’ve done a typed post for the site, but every year I strive to honor the unique aspects of films from that year. Giving out my own “awards” or recognitions for the movies of the year (in this case, 2017), it’s another fun way to celebrate film.
Since the Oscars nominees were released yesterday morning, I figured this would be the perfect time to unveil the winners and runner-ups for the 2018 My Movie Thoughts Awards!
To the class of 2018, I’m no expert, but I was in your shoes a year ago and here are a few general college app tips!

though not a movie or TV show, here are my VERY quick thoughts on the latest installment in a pop culture phenomenon! (And I’ve been extremely busy lately, but I’ll return to doing at least 1 or 2 posts, especially new Reviews, this coming week. Promise!)
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Review

On July 30th, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child premiered on London’s West End, releasing its rehearsal script in bookstores everywhere on the same day. The Two Part, Four Act play (which runs roughly five hours on stage) follows Harry’s son, Albus Severus Potter, in his first few years at Hogwarts. I won’t spoil any plot details for readers, but it does have a very interesting and different story than any of the other Harry Potter novels.

2016 seems to be a very exciting year for movies. The year already had a solid start with box office hits like Deadpool and The Jungle Book, however the summer movie season is only just getting started. There are lots of blockbusters hitting theaters from the months of May to August, and I’ve decided to highlight five of them here that you should be on the look-out for!
