The Visit Review

Preface

  • Night Shymalan’s newest project is a found footage horror movie focused on two kid actors, one of whom plays an aspiring rapper, that go to visit their estranged grandparents for the week. And there it is.
  • Does that description sound awful? Probably.
  • Did the trailer to this movie look unwatchable? Yes it did.
  • So how was this movie? SUPER entertaining actually!

  • Wow…
  • So hello everybody!
  • I FINALLY got around to seeing The End of the Tour, from director James Ponsoldt.
  • James Ponsoldt directed The Spectacular Now, one of my favorite movies from 2013 and a movie that stuck with me for a while after seeing it.
  • So naturally, I was here to review his newest movie that I was extremely excited about!

Premise

  • So The End of the Tour is about this journalist for Rolling Stone named David Lipsky (played by Jesse Eisenberg) and it follows the one week he spent with acclaimed writer David Foster Wallace at the end of Wallace’s book tour.
  • And that’s it. That’s the movie.

Silver Linings Playbook Review

Preface

  • Okay.
  • So you many of you guys have been reading a lot of my posts for over a year now, and you know that I have my sarcastic remarks and my witty quips, but I’m not typically a self-centered person, I’m typically pretty humble.
  • And I don’t like to be super into myself, but today’s my birthday!
  • And though 16 is big cuz, hey you can drive! Or 18 is big cuz, oh hey you can vote! I’ve been waiting to turn 17 for a while.
  • Because 17 is the age you have to be to get into R-Rated movies alone.
  • So as my boyhood turns to manhood in the movie-community, I thought I should do something really special.
  • So here is my review of Silver Linings Playbook, which is my single favorite film of all time.

Insidious: Chapter 3 Review

Preface

  • So Insidious: Chapter 3 is a movie that I’ve inexplicably wanted to see for a while now and just got around to recently.
  • I say ‘inexplicably’ because I didn’t even see Insidious: Chapter 2, and I only kinda liked the first Insidious. It wasn’t bad, but was only kinda ehh in my opinion.
  • Though for some reason I really wanted to see this one!
