Netflix’s Daredevil Confirmed for May 2015

Over the past week I have been doing an insane amount of posts regarding DC. Dark Knight Trilogy reviews, Wonder Woman photo reviews, Batman vs. Superman teaser reviews (feel free to check those out…), but there wasn’t a lot of MAJOR Marvel news coming out of Comic-Con. Before you all jump at me, yes I know there was an Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, which I have not seen. I also know that a sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy was announced, which I’ll talk about in my Guardians of the Galaxy review on Thursday. I also know that Joaquin Phoenix is probably Doctor Strange, but until I get confirmation, no thanks. This piece of news, however, is confirmed and it’s something that I think is very interesting in general.

So a few months back it was announced that Disney and Netflix were teaming up to bring us four (4) new Netflix shows based on Marvel superheroes (or superhero teams) which would be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first of these is a show based on the superhero Daredevil who has only been on screen before in 2004’s Ben Affleck-starring Daredevil (piece of crap). Since that was the turd that it was, it was only a matter of time before Marvel tried to reboot it, and I think a serialized platform is the way to go with this character. Superheroes on TV are starting to takeover superheroes in movies because there are so many more stories to tell, TV is a better way of telling them. Plus, Agents of Shield wasn’t anyone’s favorite show, so Marvel had to find a way to get back in the game, and a superhero at the focus was a great choice, especially Daredevil who many fans already know about.

Batman v Superman SDCC Teaser Review

This morning I was hearing what a religious experience the Batman vs. Superman teaser from Comic-Con was, so when I saw the DC Cinematic Universe fan-page on Facebook found it on YouTube, I was excited. But that excitement was multiplied by a million after actually seeing the trailer. You guys can just disregard the Why I’m Worried on this movie, because I am now officially psyched for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

If you guys haven’t seen this review, which I’m guessing 99.999999% of you haven’t, click this YouTube link quick to see it, as I’m guessing Warner Brothers is trying to take it down as we speak. Or, if it’s been taken down, I’ll do my best to describe it here for you.

This teaser is only about a minute long, but in that minute there is a lot of cool imagery. You hear this really intense music playing when the footage begins to role, and the first shot we see is Batman with his back to us turning on the Bat-Signal. He pulls this cover off of it and turns it on. Then the camera angle shifts behind the Bat-Signal, and we see Superman hovering in the projection. During this, Batman has his white eyes on, and Superman’s eyes are red, I’m assuming with fury. Then the music gets even tenser and it quickly cuts to the logo, and Hall H flips out!!

Batman v Superman Writer in Talks to Write Justice League

As I said in my ‘Walking Dead Season Five Trailer Review’ there is a massive amount of information rolling out of Comic-Con right now, and that onslaught of news will be my main coverage for the next week or so. I won’t be covering everything however. Example: three Ant-Man stars dropped out of the project, that’s unfortunate, I’m starting to have a little less faith in the movie, that is all. But this is a highly likely rumor that emerged yesterday and I thought there was plenty to talk about, so let’s discuss a Justice League rumor!

The Walking Dead Season Five Trailer Review

This weekend is Comic-Con, which means there will be a lot of information on movies, TV and future franchises announced. I will get posts to you guys on any of these that I feel are important, and will have them rolling out into next week. I won’t, however, be doing posts on everything. Example: the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer, no thank you… But The Walking Dead Season Five trailer? Yes please.
