Follow My Movie Thoughts on Twitter!

Twitter had been such an amazing instrument in getting this site up and running, I found it fitting to finally launch an account for the site alone.

The Twitter account for the site is as follows: www.twitter.com/MMTsDotCom or @MMTsDotCom. Someone already had @MyMovieThoughts as their handle, and you can’t go beyond 15 figures, so I just did the site’s abbreviation.

I’ll take this post as an opportunity to also discuss three somewhat unrelated things too, but they all have to do with the site in general.

Like the My Movie Thoughts Facebook Page!

Recently I’ve been working on getting some kind of social media connection for this site up and running, and a summer Friday at midnight was as good as any.  Right?

In any case, the web address of the page is as follows: www.facebook.com/MyMovieThoughts.  The past week especially with the two advanced reviews I’ve been wanting to launch a page just for this.  In all irony, I launched this site to annoy my Twitter followers less, yet my promotions for the site may have annoyed them more…  Now the Facebook page can take over for that and maybe I’ll go beyond 123 followers!

I’ll also be posting just random news, trailers and quick thoughts on the page if there isn’t enough to spend a whole 800 word review on.  Or if I just think it’s worth checking out.

I’ve also been thinking that in about 7 or 8 weeks I’ll be back in school, and therefore won’t be able to post something as often.  I will try to do two posts a week one that schedule, but it won’t be as frequent as this.  And because of that, I’m working on another special announcement for you all that you can expect probably next week…

I haven’t formally said this yet, but I could not be any happier with the response to this site, and I hope it only gets bigger and bigger from here.  You’ll see the cover photo of the Facebook page really says it all, and I’m so happy to be sharing my passion with all of you.  And thank you for letting me do that.  🙂

So guys, www.facebook.com/MyMovieThoughts is the page you can like and stay up to date on all things related to this site!  If you aren’t on Facebook, which is understandable considering I wasn’t until April or so, then you can scroll down the bottom of this page, or any page on the site and you’ll see a “Follow the Blog via Email” button.  And that’s pretty self-explanatory.  So are you guys gonna  like the Facebook page?  And what is the best social network out there right now?  Tindr doesn’t count of course…  Whatever ya think, let me know down below, and as always, thanks for reading guys.

A Fourth of July Update

Today I was going to watch (for the first time) and review Independence Day, but I had some stuff going on so maybe next year!

But in the past couple of days I’ve been getting a higher amount of views on the site, and though I’d just explain my four-day absence. For the future, it isn’t unusual for me to just go off the grid for a couple days, I haven’t been kidnapped, I just have things to do!

When I first started the website up, I already had about five or six articles written and ready to publish to actually get it going, but getting out an article a day is just not doable for the future, especially when I start school again. I will try to post one or two articles every week though. As for now, you can expect many more posts in the coming weeks, which I’ll get to, but first a brief message about my writing style.

How Marvel Phases 4-6 Can Avoid Jumping the Shark

It’s no secret, I am a big fan of Marvel superhero movies. And it seems like recently there’s been a lot of news about casting and news from the set of Avengers 2 and all that good stuff. As you guys know, I’m pretty excited for Marvel’s Phase 3, but that got me thinking: what will they do after Phase 3?

Now here we are. First, a disclaimer: I do not read Marvel Comic Books or any comic books (though I am will read Batman: The Long Halloween graphic novel to celebrate 75 years of the character). Any ideas I have here are either rumors I’ve heard online, or other speculation sites’ ideas.
