  • com celebrates its 2 year anniversary today!
  • I can’t believe it’s been two full years, it feels like I started this up just yesterday…
  • It’ll be really cool on Friday when I review “Now You See Me 2” because “Now You See Me” was the first movie I reviewed.
  • I guess that kinda brings things full circle…
  • But I could not justify posting this and celebrating all the fun I have on this website without thanking all of you.
  • Thank you all!!!!!
  • This past year, I made the switch over to Youtube where I do most of my new movie reviews and do TV show reviews, spoiler-filled reviews, trailer talk, and other stuff here.
  • That’s kind of a weird way to operate, half-videos, half-text, but you guys embrace it.
  • I have about an equal number of subscribers on both, with a significant more number of viewers coming to this site every month.
  • You guys are awesome, I appreciate you so much for watching, reading commenting, and sharing me with your friends.
  • I can’t wait for this summer full of movies, and I can’t wait for another great year!

The Martian Review

Preface

  • So, The Martian is the newest movie from Ridley Scott starring Matt Damon and a laundry list of other celebrities.
  • And it’s about Mark Watney (Damon) who is left on Mars, with few resources to survive in the aftermath of a mission gone awry.
  • Now we’ll get this out of the way first: yes, this is a VERY good movie.
  • No, I don’t think it’s the Messiah that a lot of other critics have been praising it to be though… Sorry!

2014 Emmy Nominations Announced!

I completely forgot that today was the day the 2014 Emmy Award Nominations were to be announced. To you that may be, “oh big whoop,” but to me that’s like forgetting it was Christmas. I literally watch these award shows like sports fans watch their team of choice in the championship. So let’s talk about some TV!

Small disclaimer: I will not be talking about every show/actor in every category, and I won’t even be talking about every category. There will also be no spoilers for any of these shows, so if you’re new here, don’t fret.

A Fourth of July Update

Today I was going to watch (for the first time) and review Independence Day, but I had some stuff going on so maybe next year!

But in the past couple of days I’ve been getting a higher amount of views on the site, and though I’d just explain my four-day absence. For the future, it isn’t unusual for me to just go off the grid for a couple days, I haven’t been kidnapped, I just have things to do!

When I first started the website up, I already had about five or six articles written and ready to publish to actually get it going, but getting out an article a day is just not doable for the future, especially when I start school again. I will try to post one or two articles every week though. As for now, you can expect many more posts in the coming weeks, which I’ll get to, but first a brief message about my writing style.
