Top 10 Superhero Movies of the 2010s (so far)

There’s something inescapable about superheroes. Whether it be the big action spectacles, the tights, or the image of the man who we all imagined becoming one day (*sniff* there’s still time…), we live in an age of superheroes. (NOT an Age of Ultron. That would be bad.) Since we, as a society, always strive for the best and need to sort things into specific little boxes, I thought that this was a perfect time to consider some of the best superhero movies that have debuted on the big screen recently.

But first, some disclaimers! FIRST: These are just the movies. I love Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Arrow (the first two seasons at least…) and most other superhero TV as much as the next guy. However, we’re only focusing on the big budget releases in theaters for today. SECOND: These are just the recent movies. As in, these films have all comes out after January 1st, 2010. I did a Top 10 Superhero Movies Ever list a couple years ago and it quickly became outdated, so I’ll wait a little while before doing one again… Regardless, some of the best Superhero Movies have come out just in the past seven years! THIRD: This is only my list. There are gonna be some movies that you love that simply didn’t make this list, so feel free to rant to your friends or leave a comment about it. I’d love to hear what your take it and what your favorites are, for real!

BUT, now with all those disclaimers out of the way, let’s dive into the Top 10 Best Superhero Movies of the 2010s! (So far)

Top 8 Best High School Movies

Preface

  • Hello Everybody!
  • Well with school starting up around-ish this time nationwide (including for myself this coming Friday), I thought it would be fun to do another Top _ List.
  • I LOVE coming of age movies, and I love high school movies.
  • There’s so much fun to be had in high school, and it’s a great setting to have an entertaining movie set in.
  • Just for clarification, on this list a ‘high school movie’ is a movie where the characters are in high school, high school age (sorry 21 Jump Street), and it has realistic and everyday teenage conflicts (sorry Back to the Future and Scream).
  • So I found 8 that I love, and here they are!

Why I’m Worried: Ghostbusters Cinematic Universe

  • Haven’t done one of these in who-knows-how-long.
  • As you all know, March is graveyard month of movies.
  • So in my attempts to keep you all entertained (and manage at least 8 posts on this site per month), let’s talk about a developing news story in the world of movies that’s pretty significant, and has just taken a dark turn…

Final Oscar Predictions 2015

Preface

  • You guys know how much I love the Oscars.
    • The answer, if you’re new to this site, is a lot.
  • Even though we get mad every year about all the snubs (Lego Movie, Jake Gyllenhaal, Gone Girl), it’s the one day of the year where everyone really cares about and loves movies as much as I do all the time.
    • Makes the world a better place…
  • So here are my final predictions for who will win at the big ceremony tonight!
    • I’ve talked about a lot of these in depth before (I’ll link my reviews for each) so I won’t waste wordcounts with a huge amount of explanation.
      • I’ll keep it simple with the nominees list, followed by Will Win and Could Win.
        • Though the whole Could Win thing feels like a bit of a cheat at times, I do feel more confident with all my picks if I have it in ‘second place’.
      • Alrighty, let’s start it up!
