Top 5 Best Pixar Movies

Preface

  • Alright ladies and gentlemen, every now and again a movie is about to come out and that movie is in a very specific genre.
  • And when such a release is nigh, I’ll do a Top 10 List of my favorite movies from that genre.
  • Now Pixar, of course, isn’t a genre but is a production company.
  • And no this isn’t a Top 10, but I still haven’t seen two or three of the less-hyped Pixar movies (Monsters University, Cars 2, Bug’s Life) so I couldn’t round it out to an even 10.
  • But nevertheless, in preparation for Inside Out, a movie I’ll see probably Thursday, here are my Top 5 favorite Pixar Movies!

Why I’m Worried – Terminator: Genisys

Preface

  • They spelled “Genesis” with a Y. Why do you think I’m nervous!?
  • No but in all seriousness, I typically won’t do a disclaimer for these kinds of posts but here we go!
  • So, what I’m about to say isn’t why I think this movie is going to BAD, it’s just why what has come out so far worries me about Terminator Genisws.
  • This doesn’t mean I want the movie to be bad, nor do I want to give it a bad review, I want to love every movie I see.
  • But there are a few signs so far as to why I have my concerns for Terminator: Genises…
  • So the movie could be great (which I want it to be!), and I will acknowledge I was totally wrong. Or it could be terrible and I shouldn’t have ever doubted myself.
  • Either way, here’s why I’m worried about Terminator: Genisys.

Jurassic World SPOILER-FILLED Review

Preface

  • Spoiler Alert!
  • Okay, if you guys haven’t yet seen Jurassic World (which seems impossible seeing how much it made opening weekend) then this post is filled with spoilers.
  • Usually I’ll say, “hey read my Spoiler-Free Review then check out the movie then check out this review.”
  • BUT instead, you can still do that if you really want to savor the experience, or you could stay here and read a full Spoiler-Filled Review.
  • By that I mean, Jurassic World wasn’t the greatest movie in the world, so you could just read some of the particular aspects I had trouble with and still go into the movie knowing that and having a good time.
  • Either way, if you’ve seen the movie or not, we’re going into Spoiler Territory from here on out!

Jurassic World Review

Preface

  • Going into this, I wasn’t the HUGEST Jurassic Park fan.
  • I’m a fan of the first movie but I haven’t seen the second movie and have only seen snippets from the third movie.
  • The trailers for this got better and better though so I was getting really excited for Jurassic World as its own standalone movie and sequel to Jurassic Park.
  • And I can successfully say, without a single doubt that well… I’m a little underwhelmed…

Premise

  • So Jurassic World is the fourth Jurassic Park movie set 20 years or so after the events of the original Jurassic Park.
  • And now the park has been officially and rebranded as Jurassic “World”.
  • But tourists are kinda used to all the dinosaurs there so Bryce Dallas Howard’s character who kinda runs the park is in the process of introducing a new, genetically-modified, stronger dinosaur to wow people!
  • But of course, things are going to go awry when it gets out…

My Thoughts on Upcoming Superhero Movie Directors

Preface

  • This is a post I’ve wanted to do for a while because I love superhero movies and I love film direction.
  • Ever since I saw Zodiac for the first time like 4 years ago I’ve always been fascinated in the vision of one person in a movie, and as more and more superhero movies are made, more and more big directors are signed onto them.
  • So these are my thoughts on about a dozen of the upcoming or rumored directors for upcoming comic book movie projects!
  • (As of June 2015, because God knows there will be drop-outs, disagreements, and disproved rumors before I even post this…)
