Spider-Man Officially Joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe!!

Preface

  • I was talking to a friend of mine the other day who reads this blog and he asked me, “what’s your favorite of your own posts?”
  • No less than three weeks later, it’s fact!
  • And if you didn’t check out my thoughts on the rumors, then check those out. If you want a recap: I’M SO EXCITED!!!!!
  • Now that you guys know how hyped I am for this, I’m gonna spend most of this article actually discussing how I think it should go down because I’ve had straight-up me-monologuing-at-my-friends-for-unholy-amounts-of-time-about-this-topic conversations, just prepping for this post!
  • Intro’s finally done so let’s talk about how it should go down!

Jurassic World Super Bowl Spot Review

Preface

  • When iSpot.tv said there was gonna be a Batman v. Superman trailer during the Super Bowl, I actually believed them.
  • That being said, I’m gonna be on a trip this week Wednesday through Sunday so no reviews of Jupiter Ascending (whew…) or The SpongeBob Movie (whew again…).
  • But I GUARANTEE a Batman v. Superman trailer will drop during that time, and I’m sorry, I know I’m letting you all down once again…
  • But during the Super Bowl, there was another trailer that I thought was pretty interesting…

Fantastic Four (2015) Teaser Trailer Review

Preface

  • This movie has had 1 hundred-and-one problems surrounding it.
  • I was looking forward to this movie when I first heard about it a couple years back for one reason: we live in a post-Dark Knight Trilogy era where superhero movies aren’t stupid and cheesy like the Jessica Alba Fantastic Four movies.
    • I assumed that the new Fantastic Four would have that new, dark edge to it that all superhero movies do nowadays.
  • Then I heard rumors about the problems on set, the release date being pushed back, Josh Trank (the director) maybe borrowing too much from his prior work Chronicle (one of my favorite films, by the way). Plus we hadn’t seen any images or footage from the film yet and it’s only 6-ish months away!
  • But this trailer changed my mind on that.
  • I thought that this trailer was GREAT.

2015 Academy Award Nominees Announced!

Preface

  • I’m getting this to you guys a couple days late, and I’m sorry about that.
    • I just had to find the chunks of my brain that flew out after The Lego Movie wasn’t nominated for Best Animated Feature, and try to reassemble those chunks in the proper fashion.
  • Yeah we’ll talk about that snub later, but seriously: yeah I had a ton of projects to finish for the semester at school all day Thursday.
    • Friday I was busy too and worked hard to crank out Night at the Museum Spoiler-Free and Spoiler Filled (you’ll get that later tonight) Reviews.
    • I spent like 2 and a half hours on Spider-Man yesterday and just spent the rest of the day hibernating.
    • NOW here’s the Oscar Nominees Reaction Post!
      • And the American Sniper Review should be out in the next couple days too.
    • Man, January is so much busier for movies than I thought!
    • (Before I start, too, click here for a full list of nominees in the categories I’m gonna discuss!)
