Ya know what guys, Pixels actually isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. It’s actually a lot worse.
Kevin James plays the President, did you actually think I was gonna say, “wow… That was cool!”
No, but I’ll say this about Pixels: it had a good premise. It’s about an alien race of video game characters who think old footage from the 80s is a declaration of war. So now only the biggest video game nerds can take em down!
You hear about it and you’re like: man, that’s absurd but it could be kinda like a modern day take on Ghostbusters or even Independence Day.
But no… No!

Ant-Man Review

Preface

This is gonna sound super obscure, but this movie reminded me of the planning scene from Guardians of the Galaxy (where they’re planning out the final attack) mixed with Sam Raimi’s first Spider-Man.
Yeah… That!

Premise

So Ant-Man is the newest Marvel movie about the relatively unknown Marvel superhero Ant-Man.
In this movie, Scott Lang is this criminal who got thrown in prison for burglarizing a couple places, but ultimately he’s a good guy who means well.
And Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, has been scouting Scott to be his Ant-Man successor and to ultimately take down this organization that’s been exploiting Pym’s work.
And ultimately it blends humor with action with Marvel references and has these great characters that make the movie flow.

So guys, sometimes there are some movies or some trailers that I get to see and I’m so psyched after I see them, I just can’t wait to talk about them, get home and write a review and tell you guys to all go see them!
This is basically the opposite of that situation…

So the other day I was looking through the list of movies I had seen thus far in 2015 and despite all the bad buzz a lot of movies had gotten, I realized that I haven’t seen many AWFUL movies.
I’ve seen four movies so far that I would qualify as my Top 4 of the Year, as of now, and I’ve seen MANY mediocre, average, and meh movies.
A LOT of those.
But now there are two movies (including this one) that I can successfully say are pretty terrible…
Not as bad as I thought though!

Alright, now if you asked me a year ago before all the spelling-changes and trailers I would’ve said that Terminator: Genesis sounded super cool and could be a dark and gritty story like all the ones we seem to get nowadays.
- Like how the new Fantastic Four looks.
If you asked me a week or two weeks ago, I’d say, “okay friend, here’s why I’m extremely worried and don’t think that movie’s gonna be good…”
If you ask me after seeing the movie though I can thoroughly say:
I had a really fun time with the first half of this movie. The second half got a bit convoluted…
And you guys are gonna hear me use the word “functional” more in this review than I ever have on this site before… Be forewarned.

Premise

And yes, I did put the bad trailer above not the spoiler-filled one.
Trust me, don’t even watch a trailer going into this movie. More on that later.
But anyways, Terminator: Jenny Smith is the story of the rebooted Terminator franchise!
It’s a very, very long and hard plot to describe but ultimately it’s a retelling of the events from the first two (especially the first) Terminator movies and then kind of fixing everything in the Terminator universe so they can work clean going forward.
And that’s what it’s about. Mostly…?
